Personal Experience & Biography

Are you someone who has been feeling lost and alone? Someone who has been through so many difficult things and feels that no one will understand what you are thinking or feeling? Life can feel as though it is going to swallow you up whole and spit out just shards of the person you once were, but I am here to tell you that there is a way through all that and a way to find peace and healing. I have been working with adults, adolescents, and children who are trying to navigate the ups and downs of everyday life for over 10 years. I have experience helping individuals manage their anxiety and depression, process and cope with trauma, and try to find healthier ways to find and extend control in their lives.

I view every client I see as a unique individual and model my therapeutic approach as such. I pull from a variety of therapeutic modalities to help my clients achieve the therapeutic goals they are setting. I pull techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, reality therapy, attachment therapy, and dialectal behavioral therapy. What does that all mean? It means that I create a unique therapy experience for each individual, pulling from knowledge I’ve gained over the years of many different therapy modalities.

At the end of the day, I like to make sure that each client I meet with feels heard and understood so that they know that they are not just another client to me; that I value them as a person and human being. I also specialize in anxiety, depression, anger management, grief/loss, working with youth, trauma related experiences, relationship concerns, interpersonal conflict, self-esteem, and attachment-related concerns.

I know how scary it can be to take the first step in seeking help through some of the most difficult and challenging situations but there is so much courage in taking this step and realizing you do not have to figure things out on your own. I encourage you to reach out if you are ready to make sense of the different experiences you have been having and feel empowered and confident to be the leader of your life.
